Tis’ the season of shopping and I say shop small business or local retailers..!
A purchased item becomes like a proverbial skipping rock when shopping from a small business. The rings in the water are the effects that this purchase has on everyone.
It’s not just a purchase; this is an acknowledgement to these people, to their crafts.
I also like to think of how the actual product is conceived. When an owner/operator has built their product or service from a dream this offering is now dipped in passion and you forever know that you will be receiving a reputable product or service that was built from a clean conscious and a lighter carbon footprint.
The foundation of your product/service was built on pride, love and passion.
There are so many shopping opportunities outside of big retail and box stores. Many unique services, re-purposed and one of a kind hand crafted products, things to wear, things to eat, things to look at, the list is plenty.
Maybe you have not shopped local or small business because you are not sure or you don’t know where to look.
This year I decided to feature 9 businesses.
Traditionally I have not blogged about businesses unless I have tried or received a product as my word on my blog is very important to me, I like to know when I recommend something that a reader will receive the same quality and professionalism that I did.
I know you will receive a quality product and experience when purchasing from the businesses I am writing to you about.
As I am connected to my featured businesses through the internet you will find they are located all over North America. Please go through the list below and connect with them through their FB Pages.
May I introduce to you my small business choices of 2013. BmB xx

If you need more reason to shop small business or locally consider the following reasons;
When you buy from a small business, more of your money is used to make purchases from other local businesses which helps strengthen the economy of the community. Also by making local purchases this will help reduce in pollution by not travelling to get said products.
Non-profit organizations receive more support from smaller business owners than they do from large businesses.
Small local businesses are the largest employer in our community which provide the most jobs to residents because small businesses often hire people with in their area and have a better understanding of the products they are selling and take more time to get to know customers.
Small businesses are owned by people who live in the community, they are less likely to leave, and are more invested in the community’s future. Entrepreneurs and skilled workers are more likely to invest and settle in communities that preserve their one-of-a-kind businesses and distinctive character as well small businesses in towns require little infrastructure investment and make more efficient use of public services as compared to nationally owned stores entering the community.
A BIG win for everyone..!
Thank you so much for supporting my efforts to be a responsible, successful entrepreneur!
Nyssa I absolutely adore you, your business and I wish that many will see your finery.. xx
